The Good, the Bad, the Ugly

This is B-Mart and M-Dub reporting from the beautiful Andros Island. Tonight we have our special guest "Lil' Zack" We hope you are enjoying your 30's with snow as much as we are enjoying our not 30's with snow. We started the day off with the Tongue of the Ocean. By that we mean the part where she drops to 6,000 feet. We dropped a conch shell until we couldn't see it anymore....it disappeared after about 400 feet (33 seconds). The waves were huge and some people got a little sea sick.(Cerne puked three times, but he is a-ok now.) Next stop was a Barrier Reef. Here we got some ink fresh out of a squid. Then, we saw a rum-running ship wreck. Sorry parents, we didn't find the treasure, or the gold. We got some grub and then headed out to Pigeon Key for a little lab experiment. Here we grabed some coraline algae and searched for the organisms that live inside of them. We found some crabs, brittle stars, and an orange eel. After some frisbee, we headed back to the homestead for a camp soccer match with Chad the superstar. We had the best din din of the week and we shall end this day with thy weaving of the baskets. This is Brett, Mitchell, and Zack saying snow? What is snow?

  1. Hey mom, this is Justin. Will you please turn my computer on and log on. The password comes up as the hint. I promise it won't mess anything up. I want it to record Human Planet for our AP Bio class. Tyvm

PS. The Bahamas is great, enjoy your snow.

  7. To Zach & Noah,
We are glad to hear that you are able to do everything the big kids are doing. It looks like a trip of a lifetime and lots of fun. Hope you guys are being good for Mom. We went from having snow to some of the worst rain and thunder storms in years. Uncle Mike flew to Houston on Monday and was flying back Tuesday. He was supposed to get in Buffalo at 11:00 PM. Because of the storms, he didn't get in till after 3:00 AM. Murphy is doing fine. He and Ellie trade kisses every day.Miss you guys.

    Love,
    Nana & Papa

  9. Brett,
I'll bet the rum runner wreck was awesome...too bad about not finding the treasure or the gold. We're glad to see you all still smiling in that nasty sun. We are fortunate that we don't have to put up with all that sunshine. The only bright spot we have is the Sabres won 1-0, series tied 2-2. See you soon.
    Love, Mom and Dad

  14. Hi Kayla,
I like the picture of you up on the blog! The weather down in the bahamas looks so nice compared to Bradford's weather. Only two days of classes left for me this year. Can't wait to see you on saturday. Love you and miss you.

  15. We love hearing about your daily adventures! We can't wait to see your example of "thy weaving of the baskets." Appreciate this wonderful experience!!! The population of Pominville increased by one as the Sabres won Game 4, evening the series at two (back to Philly for Game 5). Hopefully, you bring back the warmth and sunshine on Saturday...We are sick of snow, freezing temperatures, high winds, rain, and thunderstorms. Drink lots of water, use sunscreen, and stay away from your catcher when he is feeling seasick!

  16. Good morning, Shannon!

Love the pictures from yesterday. I'm not sure what Zach and Kayla are holding, but I'm sure it's a cute creature. Can't wait to hear about your adventures you will have today.

Maggie and I are going to Old Orchard Beach and maybe Portland Head Light. I'm planning on meeting one of my PV students at OOB. Se lives in MA, and you've never met her. The weather is nice here, but not even close to yours.

I agree with Andy's dad - your time is slowly ending on Andros Island. Find some time just to breathe in that air and truly enjoy the moment. God's world is beautiful.

Sweet breads will be cooling when you get home.
I love you, MGC, Love Mom, xo

  20. Celine...

While you and friends keep me posted about your trip, I just want to let you know about life at 2078...ummm, uh huh. That's all! ;p (Milo did sleep through the night for the first time though...6 blissful hours of sleep minus waking up wondering why he was sleeping so long...)

    Much love, Mom

  21. Hey Hannah,
You guys are really lucky to be down in the Bahamas. The best field trip I ever went on was to Roswell Park Cancer Institute to look at a lousy rat with a tumor on its back. Have you seen any Scarus guacamaia or Holocentrus adscensionis on your dives? Steer clear of those spotted Scorpaena plumieri.

Just checking for an update before I go to bed. Went to Portland Head Light, Old Orchard Beach for a dog park run (Maggie forgets she was a racer) and then for another lobster meal with a former PV student. We plan on leaving here around 7am tomorrow. I'm hoping to make it to Good Friday service. I'll check for today's blog tomorrow. I love forward to seeing you soon. Enjoy every minute...
